MATTHEW CASTLE WOODWORKING

Matthew and Richard were recomended to us when we were looking for new windows. They designed and made all of the doors and windows for our extension and went on to build a bespoke fitted kitchen for us, as well as made to measure wardrobes and cupboards. They are true craftsmen who take pleasure and pride in their work. We have no hesitation in recomending them to anyone. We are delighted with all of the work that they have done for us.

Having worked on several House projects with Matthew, over a period of 10 years, he is one of the most dedicated and detailed people that I use. He understands everything I ask for, he interprets it with such precision, and he appreciates the beauty of wood, which shows, in all his work. Not only is he very reliable, He will accommodate any project if the schedule changes with out any negativity. His work is second to none that never dates and is a pleasure to look at everyday.

We are very pleased with the new and refurbished windows that Matthew and Richard produced for our 1908 house. No one can tell that we have changed the windows but we have the advantage of double glazing! A very professional job from start to finish. We are already recommending the company and hope to use it again in the future.

We have been delighted with the quality of the joinery supplied by Matthew Castle Woodworking. All of the bespoke joinery has been for our Listed Buildings; the attention to detail has been superb.

We were given Matthew and Richard's contact details by Harborough Council Conservation Officer when we purchased a Grade II listed property in need of restoration. The house needed considerable repair which needed traditional expertise. Both men spent many months working with us and their work was exceptional, they have an excellent eye for detail. We have used them since for a small barn conversation and traditional outbuilding. We would have no hesitation in recommending their work and have done so several times.

Matt Castle made and fitted two pairs of french doors for my home and I am more than satisfied with his craftsmanship and the quality of his service. Matt offered helpful and informative advice about wood selection and ensured that I was consulted about the design and had a choice about the door furniture - taking the time and trouble to swap a set that I found as I did not like once it had arrived from the suppliers. Matt arrived on time and on the agreed day to remove the old doors and fit the new ones he had made. The weather was not the best - there were frequent downpours - but Matt worked on in seemingly good humour, which is not something many would have been able to do! He took care to protect the interior of my home from both rain and sawdust and cleaned up after himself. He ensured a good and tidy seal between the frame and the brickwork and I was left with only minor filling required to the plasterwork. I would certainly use his carpentry services again in the future, as and when I have the need.
